Our MMA classes combine the best of striking and grappling — teaching you real, well-rounded martial arts skills for fitness, self-defence, or competition. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fighter, you’ll learn in a supportive, structured environment with professional coaching.
At Roar MMA, our Mixed Martial Arts program focuses on the details that bring every discipline together. You’ll learn how to blend striking, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu seamlessly — developing real understanding of the positions, transitions, and concepts that make MMA such a dynamic art.
Each session may include technical drills, partner work, and controlled sparring designed to build awareness and confidence in every range. You’ll work on staying composed under pressure, maintaining control, and one of the most important MMA fundamentals — learning how to get back to your feet.
Our coaches emphasise precision and efficiency over brute strength, helping you build clean habits that work in real training and competition. Whether you’re just getting started or sharpening advanced skills, our MMA classes will challenge you to think, adapt, and perform at your best.
With years of experience across multiple disciplines, our coach breaks MMA down into clear, practical concepts — from striking transitions to getting back to your feet.
With multiple locations across Perth, Roar MMA allows you to train at any of our martial arts clubs with just one membership.

Here are our most frequently asked questions. For anything else, please feel free to call or message us anytime!
Please wear light and loose-fitting clothes, or proper fight gear such as a rash guard. If possible, avoid bottoms/shorts with pockets. Most importantly, ensure your personal hygiene is on point, making sure you’re clean and your nails trimmed. Do not wear jewellery. If you have them, bring MMA gloves and a mouthguard.
Our MMA classes welcome students of all ages and abilities. The classes can be physically exerting, so we recommend a reasonable fitness level for sparring, but you are always welcome to join us at any level.
This very much depends on your background, resilience, and ability to learn. Ideally, you’ll already have some foundational knowledge in BJJ, Muay Thai or similar. Our MMA classes are designed to tie together the foundations of the other sports, focussing on the finer details.
