Class Overview

Our Freestyle Wrestling program focuses on building strong fundamentals through smart technique, control, and consistent movement.

After a comprehensive warmup, each class covers essential techniques such as level changes, shots, and setups, as well as ground control through par terre, gut wrenches, and turns.

Students learn to generate power from proper positioning and movement — not just strength — while improving their ability to control and transition between phases of a match. Whether you’re brand new to wrestling or looking to refine your competitive edge, our sessions are designed to build skill, speed, and confidence.

Training includes structured drills, partner work, and live rounds.

  • Have Questions?

Here are our most frequently asked questions. For anything else, please feel free to call or message us anytime!

The main difference is in what parts of the body you can use.

In Freestyle Wrestling, athletes can attack and defend with both their arms and legs — including leg grabs and trips.

In Greco-Roman, all attacks must come from the waist up, focusing on throws and upper-body control only.

Yes, Wrestling complements BJJ and MMA training exceptionally well. The takedown techniques, ground control, and conditioning acquired in Wrestling can significantly enhance your skills in other martial arts disciplines.

Wear comfortable athletic attire, such as a t-shirt or rash guard and shorts or compression leggings, along with wrestling shoes if you have some (bare foot is fine for trials). Please remove any jewellery and trim your nails to ensure safety during training.
